the developers of Chess Assistant 7.1
(opens in new window)
New Universal Chess program for
Amateur and Professional players.
Everything a chess player needs. |
|
Chess Assistant 7.1 is the
unique tool for managing chess games and
databases, playing chess on the ICC, viewing
electronic texts in CA or PGN format, studying
openings, analyzing games, or playing chess
against the computer. About 10.000 new games
per month to be downloaded for free via the
Internet on the Chess Assistant servers.
- Database:
CA7.1 includes a database containing
2.117.000 games, up-to-date until
January 1st, 2003.
-
Opening studies:
For all kinds of opening studies, CA 7.1
provides you with various chess trees, which
include 2.117 Million games.
Evaluations done by GM Kharitonov, the
composer of the Encyclopedia Of Chess
Openings 2003, and computer assessments of
the opening phases of the game. You can
automatically get the opening phase of the
game commented for you, using all the above
mentioned sources of information.
-
Middlegame
studies:
For middlegame studies, the program provides
analysis by a wide variety of chess engines,
including: Chess Tiger 15 and Gambit Tiger
3, which are incredibly strong and reliable
Chess programs. Furthermore, there is a
large variety of analysis modes, supported
by the program, including fully automatic
multi-pass analysis of game(s) and manually
controlled analysis. You can even use two
engines at the same time or analyze games in
the background and much more.
-
Database and game
management:
Facilitated with an easy-to-handle drag and
drop interface plus a navigation/database
browser window, which really - should be -
standard for programs of this type. There
are also (self understanding for our
standards) tools for keeping player and
tournament names consistent, and removing
doubles from your collection at the highest
possible speed and correctness, the entire
Market offers at present.
-
Search tools:
And of course, all sorts of search tools at
your disposal, like searches for material,
pawn structures, positions, players,
sacrifices, piece movements, statistical
analysis, etc.
-
Internet Play:
By terms of chess related Internet play,
Chess Assistant 7.1 provides you with a
comfortable interface for the connect to the
ICC, which has the - by far - highest
membership capacity of all chess clubs on
the Internet. The interface allows you to
play games online, or watch the games of
others and so forth.
-
Playing:
And as chess playing itself is concerned,
you can use Chess Assistant 7.1 in
combination with its built-in engines (Chess
Tiger 14/15, Gambit Tiger 3, Ruffian, Crafty
and the Russian Dragon), or with a wide,
additional variety of other engines
(Shredder 5 or 6, even Winboard engines).
Includes 2 CDs and a manual consisting of
100 printed pages.
